Two names, one shop

Cook’s Air Conditioning & Heating Specialists is a family-owned company. Jerry runs sales and the front end of the business; Sean is the lead technician and the person most likely to be under your air handler. You will see both names in customer reviews because customers actually deal with them, which is the simplest way to explain the difference between this company and a dealer network with a regional call center.

Everything is based at 37 Fairmont Ln in Palm Coast. That is the only address we have, and it is the one on every invoice.

Why a company 26 miles north works Ormond Beach

Because the houses here need the work and the drive is honest. Ormond Beach has roughly 44,000 residents, a median home built in 1984, and about a third of its population over 65. That is a town full of aging builder-grade systems in Woodmere and Tymber Creek, mid-century ranches in Rio Vista with no proper return air, and retirees in Plantation Bay and Halifax Plantation who would rather sign a maintenance plan than wait for a breakdown.

From our shop the trip is about 38 minutes on I-95 to SR 40, or down Old Dixie Highway past the Fairchild Oak if the interstate is backed up. Volusia is worked as a route, so when you call in the morning, ask dispatch whether a truck is already south of the county line.

Lennox on the nameplate, every brand on the truck

We are a Lennox dealer, which gives us the Healthy Climate air-quality line and the Ultimate Comfort System on the installation side, plus the training and parts access that come with the badge. On repairs we work on whatever is in the house: Carrier, Bryant, Trane and the rest. Nobody is going to tell you a perfectly fixable ten-year-old unit needs to become a Lennox.

We are also certified to install solar-panel-compatible systems and we install ENERGY STAR equipment. FPL’s rebate program is tiered by SEER2 rating rather than by the ENERGY STAR label, so the qualifying models are a specific list we can walk you through.

Houses and storefronts alike

Residential is most of the Ormond Beach work, from Ellinor Village cottages to the big newer homes in Hunter’s Ridge. Commercial is the rest: medical offices tied to the hospital systems that employ so much of this town, the companies in the Ormond Beach Business Park and Airpark, restaurants along Granada and shops near the beach approaches.

The honest version of the drive

The phone is answered 24 hours a day and we do not add an after-hours charge, in Ormond Beach or anywhere else. What we will not promise is a fifteen-minute arrival in a town 26 miles from the shop. Ask for an arrival window when you call; the one you get is built from where the trucks are, not from what sounds good. Satisfaction on the work is guaranteed; estimates on new systems are free.

About Cook's, from an Ormond Beach point of view

Do you have an office in Ormond Beach I can stop into?

No. The only Cook’s address is 37 Fairmont Ln in Palm Coast, and the vans are the business. Estimates happen at your house, paperwork happens by phone and email, and nobody has to drive to us.

Is Jerry the one who comes out for the estimate?

On most new-system quotes, yes. Jerry handles sales for the company and prefers to see the house, the duct runs and the electrical panel himself before putting a number on paper.

Do you also take care of commercial buildings near the airpark and on Granada?

We do. Rooftop package units, split systems and maintenance contracts for offices, shops and restaurants are part of the regular Volusia work, alongside the residential calls.
